The Oystercatcher is a touring kayak with a low rear deck, hollow bow and optional fixed skeg or integral rudder. The Oystercatcher is a sleek and responsive kayak which can be built to track straight like a train with its fixed skeg or be quick and responsive with out it. The integral rudder will help control the boat in windy conditions or in pleasant coves while bird-watching.

The Oystercatcher is designed or the paddler who wants a sleek boat for fast touring or extended trips. This boat has a sharp, hollow bow to give a dry ride in most sea conditions, hard chines and a shallow "V" bottom and slightly flared sides for control. She is designed with an optional Fixed skeg or integral (stealth) rudder. This rudder is made as part of the hull form with nothing sticking out. All the hardware is inside the hull.
